At the end of another transit stage we get to Hirtshals in northern Denmark, where we embark on the enormous ferry that will take us directly to Bergen in Norway. This cruise is exceptional both for the quality of the service (cabins and buffet) and for the superb scenery we glide past during the thirteen-and-a-half-hour voyage. We are at sea from 8 o’clock in the evening to 12.30 the next afternoon, but even here it is dark for only five hours, from 11 pm to 4 am.
