We take the ferry back to the mainland (arriving in plenty of time to get on board, as the next one may not be for some time!)
and then drive across to Finland’s discreet but welcoming capital, Helsinki,
where the Finnish media are waiting for us. According to one journalist, Paris-North Cape is
“better known in Finland than Roland Garros”.
Later in the evening, we submit our latest set of photos and reports. Tomorrow’s jury is very important, as it includes representatives from the Finnish press and Helsinki city council. We spend a lovely summer’s evening exploring Helsinki’s port districts before turning in for the night in the Rally’s partner hotel.
