The morning begins with an open-air show between the presidential palace and the port, near the fruit and vegetable market (the midnight sun produces enormous and extremely tasty strawberries and bilberries), presented by Markku Veijalainen, one of Finland’s most famous TV personalities. The winners of the Best Photo Trophy are invited onto the stage to receive their prize, but all our best photos are on show to the public at the partner hotel.

On the occasion of Finland’s 100 years of independence, the Paris-North Cape will highlight this extraordinary country throughout its journey and the result in images will be exhibited in Helsinki and on other important steps we are preparing. Philippe Boucher is every three weeks in Finland in order to prepare this event, we will communicate more details in the coming days.

At the end of the afternoon we head down to the docks, just a stone’s throw from the welly-throwing event, and board a huge, Viking Line ferry. The Rally is drawing to a close, but we still have the energy to party until the early hours of the morning.
